I'm late for school, too, dammit.

It seems I'm teaching a critical care course in oncology tomorrow. Guess I better learn the material real quick first. That's nursing in a nutshell: "Fuck, I have to do what? Okay, let me just find out how." I can't describe the number of times I've come on shift to discover my patient hooked up to some wacky apparatus that I had approx. 15 minutes to learn so I could not only make it work, but be convincing enough that the patient felt safe and secure in my care.

Ironically, my drive to change that way of doing things in nursing by becoming an educational resource to my unit means that whenever there's a wacky apparatus on the floor now, they all come to me, and I have to teach them how to manage it and make them think I know what I'm talking about. As above, etc. Also, I get to teach the classes I haven't even taken yet.

Anyway, hopefully when I do take this class in the spring, I'll do pretty well in it. Ahahaa. We shall see.

You paid attention during 97% of high school!

85-100% You must be an autodidact, because American high schools don't get scores that high! Good show, old chap!

Do you deserve your high school diploma?

What??? How. Clearly this meme does not measure confidence level. Although I'm pretty sure the earth doesn't get warm because the sun rises more often.
