Marin county, CA seems very nice! In the dark.

It seems that if you go that way on 580 instead of this way coming out of San Francisco and over the Bay Bridge, you do not, in fact, reach my house. Instead, you head across San Pablo bay (didn't faze me a bit, that bridge: huh, sudden bridge I don't remember; okay! I'm an excellent traveller) and up toward wine country, through towns like Novato and Petaluma and whoever knows what else; it was dark. Like 4 a.m. dark, and then 5 a.m. dark, and then the sun came up as I was finding my way back to Walnut Creek, and it was all so deeply meaningful and symbolic that I said, "Good morning!" to the cats and went to bed.

And got up at 1, then got up at 4, then got up at 8, and then finally got up for my Saturday at midnight. I'm also an excellent sleeper! Back aches a little, though.

But I had a lovely time with frausorge, with her shiny new laptop and sushi and Prince Caspian and then the first couple eps of SGA, which I can watch over and over again, especially the part where Sheppard's sneaky peteing around the wraith ship with his life signs detector and his P90, which made lesa laugh for some reason. Also the part where Sheppard tells Teyla, "Looks like it's just the two of us then. And him," and the priceless look on Teyla's face: she's so obviously wondering if the prospect of new trade is worth the courtesy of the gentle smack down. And of course Jack and Daniel and We can go there and Think about where we are in the Solar System and Doctor -- this is why you brought me here, which for some reason makes me all wibbly when I hear it. And of course of course the clear hot chemistry between Sheppard and McKay right off the bat. Yes. In the "gateship" bay, Rodney slides past Sheppard, and Sheppard cuts a glance after him, and why would he do that, why??

Never mind; sry. I think I've discussed my "early adopter" tendencies before.

It is now 2.30 in the a.m., and I think I'm going to have lunch and call up a writing file or two -- tell me, mac users, is Word for mac worth it? Oh, and as long as I'm asking the hard mac questions, how do I save an image?? I miss my right click.
